Teacher's guide to sending another teacher a message

For Teachers: Here’s how you can contact another teacher on MusicTeachers.co.uk.

Updated over 4 months ago

If you’d like to reach out to a fellow teacher, there are three simple ways to do this:

1. Request a One-Off Message via Support

If you only need to send a single message, you can email our Support Team at [email protected]. Let us know which teacher you’d like to contact, and we will forward your message to them by email.

2. Join our Faculty Group on Facebook

The Faculty Group is a private Facebook community just for teachers working through MusicTeachers.co.uk. Here you can chat, collaborate, network, or simply ask questions in a friendly space. If you’d like to join, just request access and our team will add you.

3. Become a Student of a Teacher

If you’d like to take lessons with another teacher on the site, you can create a new student account using a different email address from the one linked to your teacher account. This keeps your teacher and student profiles separate, while allowing you to book lessons and contact the teacher directly. This ensures role-specific messaging threads remain clear and prevents any overlap or confusion when using the platform.

FAQs

Can teachers message each other directly on the platform?
No. Teachers do not currently have the option to send direct messages to one another through MusicTeachers.co.uk. Instead, you can use the Support Team or join the Faculty Group to connect.

Why do I need a separate student account if I want to take lessons? Your teacher account is designed only for managing your own students. Creating a separate student account ensures that your lesson bookings and payments remain clear and correctly recorded. To send messages as a student, log into your Student Dashboard, navigate to the Inbox tab, and use the compose feature to write and send your message directly to the teacher.

Is the Faculty Group only for active teachers?
Yes, the group is exclusively for teachers who are actively working with MusicTeachers.co.uk. It’s a safe, private space to share experiences and support one another.
