Student's guide: Why have you charged me? I haven't taken any lessons this month.

For students: if you have taken a break from lessons but are still being charged monthly, here is a guide to explain why.

Updated over a week ago

This article explains the difference between lessons purchased and how the payment schedule works to pay for these.

Lesson purchases

You can purchase lessons as part of a lesson Offer, as a single lesson or in blocks of 5, 10, 20 or 40.

On the day of purchase, all the lessons are added to your account and are available to be used at any time during the year. They are not linked to the payments and can be taken all at once or spread out up to 12 months.

Payments for lessons

When a block of 10, 20 or 40 lessons is purchased, you, the student, have two options for payment:

  1. Pay in full

If you choose the split-payment plan you are agreeing to make a payment each month for its duration, no matter how many lessons have been used and when. If you stop your lessons for a break, the monthly instalments will continue with the plan until its scheduled completion date.

Payment Plans

  • Blocks of 10 can be purchased over 2 monthly payments.

  • Blocks of 20 can be purchased over 5, 3, or 2 monthly payments.

  • Blocks of 40 lessons can be purchased over 12, 9, 6, or 3 monthly payments.

  • The first payment is due on the day of purchase, with subsequent instalments being taken on the first of the month. If your first payment is taken between the 1st and 19th day of the month, the next instalment will be taken on the first of the next month. If your first payment is taken on the 20th day of the month or later, the next instalment will be taken on the first day of the following month. This is to help students to not face two instalments close together. eg purchase on 20th May would have a 2nd instalment on 1st July.
