What options are available to me regarding the visibility of my profile?
Once published, your profile is ‘visible’. Check this by logging into your dashboard to view the information box at the top left of your screen.
There are three visibility options available to you
Visible - you will be found within search results and by anyone with your profile link. Keep your profile visible as much as possible to gain new students
Private (link only) - your profile is not visible in the search results. Students with your link can still view your profile and send you messages
Hidden - your profile is not visible in any search results, nor can a student use your link to see your profile and send you a message
Regardless of your visibility status, students already connected to you can contact you. You will still be able to arrange lessons with existing students, whichever visibility option you have chosen
How do I change my visibility?
Press “Edit Profile”, which is a menu point in your account
Next, press Visibility
Here you will find the three options - Visible, Private (link only) and Hidden
Changes take effect immediately
Why might I wish to change the visibility of my profile?
You may wish to change the visibility of your profile if:
You are taking a holiday
You would like to stop teaching and pause your account for a while
You are fully-booked
You are unwell
You would like to make it visible again from Private (link only) or Hidden
Automatically Hidden profile
Data shows us that a response within 3 hours gives you the best chance of securing the student. Note that in order to ensure students receive timely responses from teachers, not responding within 48 hours means your profile will be temporarily hidden from search results. We'll notify you if this happens.
To make your profile visible again, simply respond to the enquiry and toggle your profile visibility settings to 'visible'.
