Why leave a review?
Your review gives other students an honest idea of what lessons with your teacher are like. For your teacher, good reviews make a real difference to whether new students get in touch.
When can I leave a review?
You can leave a review once your first lesson with the teacher is over. You can only review teachers you've had a lesson with through MusicTeachers.co.uk. This keeps every review on the platform based on a real lesson.
How to leave a review
Log in to your MusicTeachers.co.uk account.
Scroll down to Your Teachers.
Find your teacher and click Write a review next to their photo and name. You'll find it under Buy A Block Of Lessons.
Choose your star rating.
Write about your experience with your teacher.
Click Send.
When you submit your review, it appears on your teacher's public profile straight away, and your teacher gets an email letting them know.
What should I write in my review?
Write about what has made the biggest impression on you, for example:
How well your teacher explains things
How well the lessons matched your level
Progress you've made since you started
Your teacher's approach and the atmosphere in lessons
The more specific you are, the more useful it is for other students.
How is my review shown?
Your review appears on your teacher's public profile, under their profile text. We show your first name, the initials of your surname, the date you wrote the review, your star rating and your text. Your full surname is never shown.
Can I leave an anonymous review?
No. We always show your first name and initials so reviews stay transparent and trustworthy.
Can I change a review after I've posted it?
No. Once you've posted a review, you can't edit or delete it from your account. If you need to change something, for example a typo, contact our support team at [email protected].
We look at every request, but we only change a review in specific cases, e.g. typos or factual errors. We do this so reviews stay a reliable picture of what other students experienced, and to stop reviews being changed after the fact.
Can I leave more than one review of the same teacher?
No. You can leave one review per teacher.
