Trial lessons have the same logic and platform fees as a Lesson Offer, but the form has only one purpose - helping to speed up the booking process.

How to create a Trial Lesson offer
Click the "Offer a Trial Lesson" button to open the form. This is on the left-hand panel within an inbox message. Smartphone users, hit "Recent actions" first to see the button.
Enter the instrument
Select the location
Enter the required student price (£0.00 upwards)
Choose to add a deadline of 5 days to the lesson by ticking the box, or leave the box clear
For pricing over £0.00, select the terms and conditions you require
The Lesson title is pre-filled and can be over-written
Add further information you wish in the description
Press “send offer” and the Offer will appear on your student's dashboard. The lesson will turn orange in your calendar (pending)
You will receive an email notification once the lesson has been confirmed and paid for. The lesson will turn green (confirmed) and will appear on your invoice
Please note: Regardless of lesson length, only the very first lesson counts as a trial lesson. Thus, once a student has accepted any form of lesson, paid or free of charge, they cannot accept a free trial lesson. If you want to book a new single lesson at a discounted price, use the "Offers" form and book a single lesson.
Trial Lesson button on Profile
Show your new students that you offer a Trial lesson by activating this button on your profile. To activate it:
Click on 'Settings < Price Settings
Scroll down to Trial Lessons and click on the Edit button
Use the slider to 'Offer trial lessons'.
The advantage of having this setting switched on is it is visible on your full profile when new students are searching for a teacher. It is displayed just under your cover image, to the right of your profile picture making it easy for students to see:
Many students wish to take a trial lessons - either free or paid for, without committing to a larger block before meeting you.

Can I still create a first lesson using the Lesson Offers system?
Yes. It is still possible to create the first lessons using the Offers system. Choose the First Lesson option to proceed.
