Viewing a message from my teacher

For students. This article is a guide to help you be aware your teacher has sent you a message and where to find it to read and respond.

Viewing and sending messages

Use the Inbox on the top navigation bar of your student account to get to your message threads. When you go to a message thread, you can view, reply to, or send a new message to that teacher.

Notifications

When your teacher sends you a message, you are notified of this in several ways:

  1. You will receive an email notification.

  2. You will see a red dot next to your Inbox tab.

  3. If you have enabled SMS alerts, you will also receive a text. Check your settings in 'My Account' < 'E-mail and Notifications'.

If you can't find the notification email, make sure to check your SPAM folder.

The inbox is the only way to communicate with your teacher through the website. Emails and chat messages come through to support at the office of MusicTeachers and not to any teacher.
