Teacher's guide to changing lesson lengths

For teachers: the process to follow if you wish to change the lesson duration for a student

Please note that it is not possible to amend the lesson credit duration for a lesson block that has already been purchased.

What you need to know:

Purchased lessons can only be used to confirm a lesson of the same duration. For example, a 30-minute lesson credit can only be used to confirm a 30-minute lesson.

Credits cannot be split to make up different durations. For example, a 60 minute lesson credit cannot be used to confirm 2 30-minute lessons.

Therefore, if you wish to change the duration of upcoming lessons, your student needs to purchase a new block of lessons

Lessons remaining in the current block

If unused lessons are in the student account, it is best to teach these before making the change. If this is not feasible, your student needs to request a refund for these lessons and purchase a new block with the desired lesson duration.

It can take up to 10 days for the funds to be returned to the card from which the purchase was made. Your student will then need to make a new purchase of the correct lesson duration.

Changing duration for new blocks

Auto-renewal: If your student has activated auto-renewal, their block will automatically renew when the last lesson is held. Therefore, the student should edit the renewal plan to fit the new lesson length. This is done from their dashboard under the heading Lesson Block Renewal.

No lessons remaining in account: if the student has already used all their lessons, they can go ahead and purchase the new lesson duration.
